A New Year and a Fresh Start
I know for us last year seemed to have flown by, swiftly passing as if we took one quick breath and suddenly found ourselves on the brink of a brand new year. It's incredible how time has a way of slipping through our fingers, isn't it?
But with the arrival of a new year, a fresh start beckons, and it brings with it the promise of endless possibilities. Now, I won't bore you with the cliché "New Year, New Me" speech, as we've all heard it countless times before. Instead, I'd like to share with you the preparations I'm making for this upcoming year, both for our home and for myself.
Setting "realistic" goals is a common practice among many individuals as the new year approaches. Yet, let's be honest with ourselves, how many of us actually manage to stick with these resolutions?
I can candidly admit that I haven't always been successful in that regard. However, in recent years, I've shifted my focus towards setting goals that not only benefit my own life but also enhance the lives of my family and children. This slight change in mindset has made it significantly easier for me to remain steadfast in my pursuit of those goals. After all, I yearn for a life brimming with happiness, good health, and a sense of liberation, not just for myself but also for my little Minions(also known as our Kids).
In the spirit of sharing and perhaps providing some inspiration for your own journey, I'd like to outline a few of the goals we've set here at Jurassic Farms. Whether you're seeking guidance for your own aspirations or simply want to accompany us on this expedition, I hope you'll find value in following along with our progress. So, let's embark on this journey together and make this new year one to remember!
Our first goal is to become more self-sufficient and to achieve this, we have decided to expand our gardens. Alongside our existing plots, we are excited to announce that we are adding two more large open areas for cultivation. This expansion will not only provide us with the opportunity to produce more of the food we consume daily, but it will also ensure that we have plenty to can and store for the long winter months and emergency situations that may arise. Our vision is to cultivate an abundance of leafy greens, corn, and even our own wheat. We understand that pursuing this goal will require a significant amount of time and effort, but we firmly believe that it will be worth it in the end.
As our second goal, we are eager to set up a fully functioning greenhouse. Last year, we had a small greenhouse, but we aspire to go even further. Apart from being a place to start plants for planting, we envision the greenhouse as a space where we can grow herbs that we can process and sell to local shops. This expansion will allow us to diversify our offerings and provide high-quality products to our community.
Finally, our most ambitious goal is to establish a retail space for our customers. You all are the reason we do what we do and we want to be able to interact with everyone in person. There is something truly special about connecting face-to-face and exchanging stories, ideas, and laughter. This is going to be a big undertaking, no doubt, but our excitement knows no bounds as we embark on this incredible journey. Through our dedicated efforts, we hope to create unforgettable experiences and forge lasting connections with each and every one of you.
